MEDICAL MISSIONS

The KC of Cebu had a joint project on free immunization against polio etc. for young children, free consultation and giving away of free prescribed medicines after immunization with the Woman’s Club, Cebu Puericulture Center and Maternity House and ABS-CBN/ DYAB Radio/TV Stations on Nov. 25, 2006 at Cebu Puericulture Center and Maternity House in Cebu City. About a thousand children from different barangays (villages) in Cebu City were the bene-ficiaries of the project which is in consonance with Kiwanis International’s Young Children Priority One, a major emphasis program.

FEEDING PROJECTS

Let’s hit two birds with one stone, Kwn. William Medici told his fellow Kiwanians. Let’s feed the malnourished children of Cebu while at the same time are helping the poor farmers. .....And it was almost as easy said than done! Starting November 29, 2005, during the term of President Eliodoro “Eli” Ostia, 2,089 Grade 1 pupils in 10 public schools in the cities of Mandaue, Lapu-Lapu and Danao, and municipalities of Carmen and Compostela were given a pouch of fresh dairy milk during the daily morning recess. The milk was proudly produced by Cebu’s very own dairy farmers.

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

BOOK BANK PROGRAM

Gov-Elect Marit Remonde assisted by Lt. Col. Lope Dagoy of the Philippine Army, turns over a bundle of library books to Mrs. Luna Garcia, the librarian of Naungan Elementary School, Ocmoc City.

KIWANIS ONE DAY

Part of the over 600 children who were treated to a puppet and music show and then to fresh chocolate milk and waffle hot dogs during the club’s observance of the 2008 Kiwanis One Day project.
